A Rough Day

Yesterday I sent Andrew this email (later additions in red):

A rough day.

Anna stuck her fingers in the door when I was closing it.
Anna poked herself in the eye with a stick - twice.
Anna got her head stuck underneath her rocker.
Anna dropped a big glass measuring cup on her foot.

Kara bumped her head.

There have been plenty of other tears today too. When your day is that rough, about anything can make you cry. Oh sweeties. Hope your day is better than that!

Love you,
K, A, and K

We did go to the Botanical Gardens for their Wednesday night music (Andrew's favorite thing in St. Louis) - we left before the music, but enjoyed taking the girls to one of our favorite places. Andrew just had to get a picture of them by his favorite tree (a gingko).

The day really wasn't that bad for me - they took 2 good naps (they only took 1 on Tuesday) and I slept with them for 1 of them - it was fine until about 9, when they still wouldn't go to bed for the night. They finally did at 10. No surprise that Andrew posted about their lack of sleeping skills...it's on our minds. :) Oh, and they got up at 5. Andrew got up with them. Poor thing. The trouble with their lack of sleep is that they then won't really eat much because they're too tired, cry a lot at little things because they're too tired, and generally just go crazy and misbehave (for babies).

Late night with the Pierce girls. Who doesn't run around with necklaces and PJs at 9:45P? Kara put hers on herself. Way to go baby. I love their faces in these. They weren't all too happy either.
