We went to Ben and Jerry's tonight, and lo and behold, the man himself was there for some reason. So, we got a picture with Jerry. The girls were REALLY wound up after we got back...and I definitely did not give them ice cream! (My dietitian mind considers Cheerios near junk food because they have added sugar and salt). Anna's face in the last pic is almost evil-looking. Baby attack! Jerry's waiting entourage could not stop talking about the girls...I was insulted that they thought they were only 5 months, but laughed when they said they should be baby models. :)

Road Trip
We went to Cleveland for a long weekend (why I - gasp! - didn't post since last Wednesday...I work Thurs and Fri). 15 1/2 years till this becomes a reality! But really, getting a driver's license before the age of 22 is pretty ridiculous, so we have a little longer. :)

For Dad
They're actually Indians fans, but I don't have an Indians hat. Kara had the right idea trying to take this one off. :) Andrew says "they're at least going to love baseball." Not as much as he does, I hope!

In Jail - Ivy-Bound Babes?
I can't think about "jail" without thinking about Yale, since that was my grandpa's joke for the 4 years I was there...in Dutch the Ys are pronounced as Js. They really liked crawling under Kara's crib, though sometimes they couldn't get out. Andrew has since lowered the crib and this is no longer a play area. While it lasted, it was really cute watching them try to figure out what was going on when one was on the inside and one was outside.

Friends
At the Kangas' a couple weekends ago...Ryann was born a couple days before K and A. She may be a little tall, but the girls are midgets compared to her! Poor short bees. Ryann has the misfortune of being unable to move and also being very easy-going. This earned her some curious visits, pokes, and kisses from our bullies. Anna still really can't get over shoes...must eat her sister's.

Apricots
They don't really like eating food. Kara does pretty well. Anna, well, these are the results with food that she likes...

Gently, Gently Brush Your Hair
This is what brushes are for, right? We are finally growing more hair over here (can't you tell their locks are looking luxurious lately?)

We run our ship just a little behind schedule...
A few more favorite Christmas pictures from 2 months ago...not as bad as the fact that I'm balancing the checkbook from back in November!

Belated Firsts
Christmas presents on Christmas Day (we did some at home before we left), tooth, shoes. We've moved on to 2nds with the teeth and shoes. It's funny to me that they don't know what to do when shoes are on their feet...look, feel, and chew are the typical responses.

Here goes
So I'm going to try my hand at this. Most assuredly, my comments won't be as witty and my stories won't be as gripping as my co-host's. But K has set a high bar.
Here are a couple of pictures from our time with my family in Arkansas during the holidays. Kara, well, she looks like my dad. We thought this from day one, but this shot underlines the point.
Anna bears some resemblance to Uncle Toot. We're going to recommend she not grow a goatee.
