Update

New blog layout - everybody's getting pretty ones from this site, I felt boring. Not sure I like it. I really like the templates where I can put 2 pics next to each other, and that limits my layout options.
Took Anna to the doctor and Miss MD was less than helpful and did manage to scrape Anna's ear wax out ineffectually and make her bleed, then make it sound like it was my fault for not holding her still enough (while I was also holding Kara, who was alarmed by Anna's frantic kicking and screaming and wouldn't let me put her down) while she dug around her ear. Anna has lost weight and is feeling lighter/looking skinny. This makes me really sad and worried. But her fever has broken. Another "funny" story from the doctor - the only way they measure temperature is an underarm strip that must stay in place for 2-3 minutes. That was hardly happening for 15 seconds, despite all my best efforts. So I told the nurse she didn't really leave it there and that I was sure it wasn't right, and she said, well it says 97.4, so that's what I'm going to write down. What?! I told her that we were there for a fever, her head felt warm, and that her temp was not that low. We did it again with slightly better results and I let it go at 98.2. But that the doctor was treating that as an accurate temperature too was ridiculous. Oh well. She ate a little better today since I found out that if I bribe her with singing a song she likes - particularly "Jesus Loves Me" today - she will take a couple bites of food. Whether she keeps it in her mouth or it cascades out as an enormous unswallowed pile 10 minutes later is another matter. :) Kara was a climbing machine today. She climbed into or onto every possible surface and had a great time. She also got bitten by Anna and fell and scraped her face. Oops. We have been making a lot of block towers last night and today. I taught them to a month+ ago and they did okay but didn't really care about it, but now they are a lot better.

Our camera batteries are dead and I keep forgetting to charge them, so haven't dowloaded our vacation pics yet. I need to, or else you're stuck with all of these strange random pictures and a lot of text. I actually do have a bunch of really cute pictures yet to post, but I don't want to post such happy pictures of chubby Anna till she's better and chubbier, they make me sad looking at them right now.
