Mom's Day

I hope that one day the girls appreciate their mother. Certainly right now they love her very much (Anna in particular is a mommy's girl), but we're a long way away from their understanding the commitment and selflessness that Kristan offers. I worry that by the time they can begin to grasp her devotion, they will be entering into the tween and teen years reputed to be difficult for the mom-daughter relationship. I like to think our girls won't go through that rebellion quite so deeply. We'll see. At any rate, they have been very sweet in recent weeks and I hope that continues.

Kristan is an amazing wife, wonderful mother and my best friend. I hope the girls appreciate her as much as I do. I hope I convey my appreciation fully. In honor of one in particular, Happy Mother's Day!
