Thanksgiving

Our friends Andy and Sarah had their second little one last week and just emailed some more hospital pictures. August is an adorable boy and we're really happy for them...but more than anything else, the pictures brought back terrible memories of our hospital experience. Not that we didn't get good care, just that the girls screamed almost the entire time and we couldn't console them, we were exhausted (whoever thought to induce starting at night is cruel - starting out motherhood on no sleep is not the way to go), feeding wasn't going well, they weren't sleeping, etc. That lasted the first few weeks, and I think I had blocked it all out!
No matter what our struggles are these days, they are nothing compared to that. God has blessed us with 2 beautiful, sweet girls, and I am thankful that He brought us through that time and continues to bless all 4 of us each day as He grows Kara and Anna. I tell you a million times a day, but - Love you babies! I'm proud to be your mom.
