Alden is 6 weeks old today. All of a sudden it's hitting me how big he's getting and how much more he can do (maybe because he's starting to be awake more). He loves sitting and looking at things, especially the toy bar on the rocker, and is holding his head up most all the time. He's been smiling for a while now, but those are more frequent too. I've never been one to really enjoy the tiny baby stages, and have always just looked forward to the next developmental milestone...I also didn't think that time really went that quickly with the girls, even though everyone tells you it does. This time around I'm appreciating my baby as a baby a lot more; time is going ridiculously fast as my children all sprout up like weeds and do seemingly 100 new things a day. Hopefully I can stay in the moment and enjoy it a little bit instead of being bogged down by the many feedings, changings/potty washings, temper tantrums, etc.

I call Alden my sweetie boy...doesn't he look it all wrapped up in the swing? He was so sleepy and wouldn't go to sleep...so hung out with us forever last night instead, just being my sweetie.
6 weeks old. The second picture is my new favorite - I think he looks so handsome. I set him in the bath tub when we were in the bathroom and all of a sudden realized he no longer fits, and wondered when that happened. Didn't I just post pictures of his first bath? 6 week growth spurt indeed.

cute pics of Alden. he looks a lot like the girls i think. i love hearing Andrew in the video of the girls with Alden. reminds me of when Cody was first born and Samuel loved to smash him. :)

You are so right, they grow fast...Alden seems to be growing at turbo speed! Look at that chub, so cute. Makes you want to squeeze and kiss him. No wonder the girls want to "hug" him!
