I took a picture of these pictures, since they make me laugh. We saw our neighbors leaving for a party a couple weekends ago or so and Andrew asked the girls to draw a party. Apparently this is what a party looks like (Kara left, Anna right).
Notes on their coloring progression: they both draw parallel lines, big and small, and sometimes like to just do multiple little tiny drawings (as you can see on the left side of Kara's picture). Mostly they try to cover the page as much as possible in scribbles...front and back. They are meticulous to a degree, but generally color really quickly. Anna has started being able to draw circles, which you can kind of tell here. Kara just moves her head in a circle while she scribbles, though she's getting closer. Dots are popular too. We can never color for long before they color the table and each other. They love markers, though, and request them often. Oh, and in case you can't tell - Anna's in her blue period. Whenever we switch marker colors, she usually switches out a blue for a blue.
Another thing I never mentioned on here is that Andrew got a new job at Barnes about a month ago. He ended his administrative fellowship over a year early and is now the Associate Administrator, which means he is the hospital president (and interim COO)'s right-hand man, manages board relations, plus special projects and I don't even really know what except he's always busy and works a lot. :) It's a great step in his career, and we're proud of him. It also means we're definitely in St. Louis another 2 years.

Congrats on the job, Drew. Sounds like things are going well, even if one of your daughters can't shrug her shoulders.
In poor Kara's defense, she can now shrug. And she is better at repeating what we say; she's not behind Anna in everything.
