My Men

Tons more pictures to come, but here's one for now, taken about an hour after he was born. Aren't they handsome?

Alden James Pierce was born Wednesday 7/1/09 at 3:40 PM. He was 9 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches long.

Despite the fact that he's a pretty enormous baby and was not remotely interested in coming out on his own (still WAY high in my pelvis, kicking and moving around till the end), once they started my induction it was only about 4 1/2 hours and not much pushing at all; much easier than the girls. He's also sleeping right now, which is amazing, since the girls never did. Our jumbo still seems really tiny to us, especially next to Kara and Anna, who LOVE him and are great big sisters already, though we need to work a bit on being gentle!
